Buddy with 5, Luke back to best.

July 18, 2009 at 11:12 pm (Footy) (, , , , )

HOdgeSwan246AAAnother win to the Hawks as they turned an 11-point half-time deficit into a 45-point win.
They  outscored the Pies 13 goals to four in the second-half to keep their finals hopes well and truly alive with an 18.13 (121) to 11.10 (76) win.

Buddy kicked 5 goals and Luke Hodge seemed back to his best.   The Hawks were returning to the form that led to them winning the 2008 premiership, but have very hard games ahead against this year’s leaders.

Hawks have a Win.

July 12, 2009 at 6:51 am (Footy) (, )

lance_r1509aIt will be a good week this week.   After trailing for most of the day, Hodge kicked a goal and put the Hawks in front. The Hawks win in Tasmania and Lance Franklin was back in form.

A FOUR-goal fourth quarter to superstar Lance Franklin has seen Hawthorn home over North Melbourne by nine points at Launceston’s Aurora Stadium. Tasmania.

Ineffective in front of goal for the first three quarters, Franklin turned it on when it counted, helping the Hawks maintain September hopes by spurring them to a 10.13 (73) to 9.10 (64) victory.

Early Morning Walk

July 9, 2009 at 12:45 am (Fun)

Today’s early morning walk in Jell’s Park was very frosty, but sunny. My friend and I found that we needed a little extra clothing due to the frost, but the birds don’t seem to care.

Hawks not so fun time.

July 6, 2009 at 10:08 am (Footy) (, )

Sewell246Not the best of weekends for the Hawks. I could not believe that first half.

Brad Sewell said that he was stunned.   I think every Hawthorn supporter was too.   But there is always next week, and who would have thought that last year they would have given us such a wonderful time.  We will be back, even if it is not this year.
